6 sunny must-haves you need with a summer baby
It's getting hot outside! The warm summer months of July and August consist of cozy picnics in the park, chilling on the beach and maybe a nice vacation to your fav' vacation destination. Enjoy! Spend the summer relaxed with a baby with the sunny must haves we have collected for you.
If you're out and about with your little one in the summer, it's handy to have items with you that provide protection from the sun and heat. For your mini and for yourself, for example while feeding. These are the essentials you can't do without this season.
1. A baby carrier made of hydrophilic fabric
Whereas most baby carriers do not absorb moisture, the Mei tai hydrophilic baby carrier does. This material, which you may know from swaddles, is a breathable muslin cotton that absorbs moisture and also dries quickly. It can even be worn on bare skin, that's how soft it is. So very nice to carry your baby in during a hot vacation. The baby carrier can be washed at 30 degrees so it is always nice and fresh.
2. A summer sleeping bag
The bedroom can often get very hot in the summer. A summer sleeping bag made of a thin fabric is no luxury then. Choose cotton or bamboo, which breathes, absorbs moisture and dries quickly. Ideal for warm nights in summer.
3. A feeding cloth made of airy material
Feeding undisturbed in public? That's where a feeding cloth made especially for that! Your baby is shielded by the cloth while feeding. Useful for curious babies who are easily distracted. All our feeding cloths are made of airy hydrophilic cotton so it doesn't get too hot for your baby under the cloth. The top of the feeding cloth is open, so you can still have contact with your baby and plenty of fresh air gets through. Superfine in the summer.
4. An umbrella for the stroller
It can become quite a sauna in the stroller, which is why stretching a cloth over the hood is not recommended. Instead, an parasol gives your child adequate protection from the sun.
5. Sun hat and summer rompers
If it is very hot, your baby will not wear more than a romper. Again, cotton or bamboo is the finest material because it is airy and stays nice and fresh. A hat protects your mini's head and eyes from the sun.
6. Hydrophilic relax cover as a baby nest
Create a cool (and cool) baby nest for your baby to sleep in, both indoors and outdoors. With your nursing pillow and a hydrophilic relax cover you'll conjure up a safe nest in no time. Sweating a little? No worries, that is immediately absorbed by the muslin cotton the cover is made of. Feel free to put your baby down alone in a diaper when it's really hot. Make sure you have a nice shady spot when placing the baby nest outside.
